The Impotance of Making Great Music!

if you are a musician, artist, or just a lover if music let's take a step back and look at how music has affected your life.

Music as a whole is the bookmark by which we measure events and moments in iur lives. If you take a really close look, tell me what triggers more emotions and memories than music?  There isn't even a close second! Whether it's Mozart, Patsy Cline, Metallica, or Jay-Z! The artist is just a messenger the message is always the music.

Music is a form of Art, make no mistake about it a song is simply a way for one person or a group of people to express themselves. The fact the so called music industry has gotten so over-commercialized is the reason the talent pool that once swam with an abundant amount of talent is now a wasted swampland that is often patrolled by scouts from American Idol, X Factor, and a multitude of shows just like them. These shows offer false hope to true talent and remind me of the story of Willie Wonka and The Chocalate Factory with the promise if a golden ticket! To me it is hilarious that people buy into this thought process, after having spent the last 25 years of my life working in music entertainment I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly! The old saying still holds to form "if it's too good to be true then it's not good for you" but year after year hundreds of thousands stand in line for that one shot at hope instead of waking up everyday, working hard with a plan, and applying that plan everyday.

Music is in a transformation stage right now. The scales have been tipped to the side of hustle and corruption way too long. Life has a balance and the coming year ahead will be the year artist take true ownership of their music back. No longer will artist have to change who they are or their music just to make a living.

We so desperately need great people to make great music again! Music that inspires, motivates, and tells the truth about life & love!

The Tide Is Changing

The time now is for change. R&B and Soul music is fighting for its survival RIGHT NOW! We have far too may commercial R&B producers following what's popular or what's on commercial radio! Please stop selling your musical soul with your short vision.

The tide is changing everywhere, people want music to help them breathe again! I believe in that, because when music stops inspiring what do we have left?
